Got a late start this morning. I had some chores to tackle before breakfast. I usually wait to have my coffee after breakfast, and we’re typically a full breakfast kind of family. We’re not really a ‘just yogurt’ or ‘just cereal’ household, which makes things a little more complicated sometimes but it’s worth it. 🤎

I usually make sure they’re seated in their high chairs because with a bigger family, it’s just easier that way.

But sometimes I find myself following my toddler around the house feeding bites of warm abc soup.

Some of those first pictures are from the original house listing, and I knew from the start we’d have to change up the kitchen. It’s been a three-year process to get it to where it is now, and we’re not quite done yet. I still want new appliances, butcher block countertops, and a farmhouse sink. Plus, there are little decor pieces I need to add to the walls.

This isn’t our forever home, but I love taking care of it because it takes care of us. 🤎

It’s crazy to think we bought this home all the way from Italy without ever seeing it in person. As first-time home buyers, we had to learn a lot about renovations. We had some help from handymen for certain things, but my husband did most of the work, and thankfully, he’s supported my vision for our kitchen. I was so tired of having an empty wall above the sink, especially because my dream home will have a window there. Adding these shelves has brought everything together, and if I didn’t already love being in the kitchen (I did), now I really love it.

I didn’t even show the other side of the kitchen, which has had some updates too. I’ll share that soon! 🥰
