When I watched her walking down the road with the doll stroller this song automatically popped into my head lol. This happens to me often over music I haven’t heard in many, many years. My husband always says “you’re so programmed” 😫😂

However, this reel signifies how I felt when my oldest child, Jane, was getting older and reaching the preschool age. I was like wait a minute this is it? Am I suppose to hand her over for the day now? I haven’t had enough time. Nobody knows her like I do or understands her like the way that I do. I love spending time with her..

This is the initial reason why I chose to homeschool. There are a million more reasons but this was what started it all.

Also Aurora’s skirt fit her big and was sliding down which is why I’m laughing 🥰

I often find myself getting things done after the

I often find myself getting things done after the littles are asleep, so I thought I’d share some of these cozy nighttime moments with my new mini-series, Homemaking After Dark. Usually, it’s no makeup, comfy clothes, and peaceful vibes. In this first episode, the big girls, my husband, and I were watching a food show set in Paris, which made the big girls crave crepes. I was relaxing on the couch, a little tired, but I got up to make them. I want these quiet late nights to feel special for them. A chance for them to have some alone time with just Mom and Dad.

By the way it wasn’t actually midnight we just like to call it a “midnight snack”.

Feminism has impacted the nuclear family by shifting traditional gender roles, leading to more women pursuing careers and less emphasis on family life. This shift may contribute to rising divorce rates, as financial independence empowers women to leave unsatisfying marriages. Additionally, the redefinition of family structures and changing parenting dynamics with both parents working can affect the emotional support children receive. Lastly, the focus on individualism in feminism can overshadow the importance of family unity.

I am not against women working. I appreciate all the female workers I come across when I’m out running errands or at appointments etc. I’m only speaking out to show this perspective of the negatives that come from this change. And we need to remember that we’re raising the future.

Very grateful for a husband who embraces our family-centered life. I appreciate that he sees the value in me raising and homeschooling our children. From home birth to homemade deodorant, he truly gets it. We both began on this journey of intentional and healthy living together about 12 years ago with our firstborn. Although I must say, there was a lot that he taught me first!

I believe we went too far into this. Seeing families broken up more often and watching men’s roles in family life and in society taken for granted is sad. A strong family unit brings such security and stability, and when we lose sight of that, it’s easy to forget just how great home life truly is. In past generations, there was a deep appreciation for creating a nurturing home environment, where families could thrive and relationships could grow. But sometimes it feels like modern culture overlooks that role, shifting focus away from those close knit relationships that once defined family life.

When we approach life with a little more selflessness, we create space for stronger connections with our children and husbands.

And I think that’s why so many women are coming back to these traditional roles because they are finding purpose, fulfillment, and real joy at home.

Women have always found ways to help their familie

Women have always found ways to help their families financially. If I make money online here and there it’s literally side money and it goes towards my household. Living on one income sometimes means living frugally or finding ways to make money from home.

How is it different from being a career woman? We prioritize our home, our children, our husbands, and ourselves.

A few months ago I started selling sourdough locally. It very quickly became overwhelming to where I was receiving a lot of orders and I was getting to bed extremely late and I was stressed. My house was becoming a mess and I wasn’t spending typical date nights with my husband at home. I get that sometimes you HAVE to sacrifice if you need the money. But I was at a point where the extra money wasn’t worth it. Yes I still sell sourdough or other stuff here and there but I don’t let it take over my life. Just like content creation. It’s a hobby and passion of mine to create, but there’s more to life…

I learned this from my Nana, a homemaker and my idol. She always found ways to make extra money from home, but she always kept a clean house and food on the table.

P.S. This isn’t to put down working women. This is for information purposes and to show young women that they can choose homemaking over a career.

Choosing the life that makes me happiest, even if it doesn’t fit modern norms. Being a homemaker brings me joy + it is very fulfilling. And then having a husband who supports me? That’s the real win.
