1. Positive Mindset/Prayer: Start the day with gratitude and intention.
2. Routine: Basic routines can help simplify the things that need to get done. Like a weekly cleaning routine and of course a daily routine, but remember that routines need to work for you not the other way around
3. To-Do List: Every night I jot down a list of things I’d like to get done the following day. It helps get it all out of my head and helps me feel motivated every time I check something off. You can do this on your phone or write it down and you can do this in the morning or the night before.
4. Teach kids to help: Don’t feel guilty teaching your kids to help. Studies show that responsibilities and chores make them better human beings. Plus there’s nothing good about letting them be on the screens all day.
5. Priorities: Let go of perfection and focus on what truly needs attention.
6. Put the phone away: Being present and away from something so addicting and distracting really allows me to get so much more done.

What’s your biggest struggle when it comes to homemaking or being a stay at home mom?

I almost forgot to mention that I’ve been saving packing paper from my deliveries to reuse for gift wrapping or other projects 😍

I’ve only worked outside the home after having k

I’ve only worked outside the home after having kids for 1 month before finding out I was pregnant with my second daughter and then happily quit! (My first daughter was also getting depressed). I’m aware there are obviously much harder jobs out there. However, my point is that no outside job will ever compare to the responsibility and privilege of raising the next generation.

It’s not about how easy or hard the work is it’s about the meaning behind it. Homemaking requires so much of me, but it’s also where I feel the most fulfilled. There’s nothing I’d trade this life for.

I understand not everyone can make this choice, and for some, working outside the home is a necessity. I have so much respect for mothers doing their best in every situation. For me, I’m grateful every day to pour myself fully into this calling.

P.s. during this time my mother in law watched over the kids and I was able to listen to an entire podcast while I cleaned the coop! It was a nice little break that is necessary sometimes.
