I have breastfed for so many years and I think breastfeeding is a beautiful thing.

Many will agree that breastmilk is like gold. It can help with so many problems like eye irritations, ear infections, skin rashes, and so much more.

I love learning about the science of breastmilk and about how perfect it is made for our babies.

Here are some breastfeeding fun facts of things I've learned over the years.

Milk Changes According To Baby's Saliva

Yes! Our nipples vacuum babies saliva during breastfeeding to send our bodies a message so that we can create more of what baby needs through our breastmilk.

The first form of milk that babies receive during those first few days is filled with antibodies, antioxidants, and is nutrient dense to help build newborns immune system!

Breastfeeding lowers mothers cancer risks

LOWERS CHILDHOOD RISK oF ILLNESS

Breastfed children have lower risk of problems like ear infections and SIDS.

When baby or mother is sick the amount of antibodies increase to fight off infection

So, yes It is still safe to breastfeed your baby when you are sick.

To help your baby sleep at bedtime

Tried and true! I've used it for my children when they've had ear aches and rashes. My mother in law even uses it for her eye when it is irritated and red.

Foods you eat influence your child’s tastes palates. Exclusive breastfed babies have more adventurous palates because of their exposure too variety and flavors. Aurora definitely taste all that spicy salsa I eat!

Breastmilk changes according to babies age
